Our Cobble Hill team is looking to hire an Automotive Dismantler

The employee will be responsible for removing automotive parts form vehicles in the warehouse and in our outdoor stock yard. Their primary responsibilities will be removing automotive parts from vehicles in a timely and accurate manner based on order requirements; testing each incoming vehicle and determining its general condition; identifying possible problems and noting them for inventory; performing multi-point inspection to determine what still works and what doesn't; draining fluids, removing gas tanks, cores, converters, and tires; pulling general parts for the sales counter; and packaging parts securely for shipment by courier.

The ideal candidate needs to be goal oriented and willing to work at a fast pace while maintaining quality, safety and accuracy.  This career requires experience using power tools, including saws, pneumatic wrenches, and car jacks. Additional qualifications include strong problem-solving skills and basic mechanical experience/knowledge, but we are willing to train the right candidate. The goal is that this position will eventually work with minimal supervision and will report to the yard manager. 

This position is full time and will require work indoors and outdoors during all weather conditions.  A valid driver’s license and a basic set of tools are essential..  The ideal candidate must be reliable, have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently. 

Those with experience working in auto salvage or dismantling environment will be given first consideration. 

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour, plus benefits at 3 months – wage is negotiable based on experience
